Cheap YELLOW/ORANGE laser!
Posted in Random at 6:40 am
I’ve been looking at buying a 593.5nm yellow / orange laser before and after a lot of research, Tech Lasers has a great price of $299. This is really tempting….
Does anyone have one? Please leave your feedback on it in the comments!
From their page:
Synthesized from two separate laser beams, a 1064nm and a 1342nm laser beam, the Xerex orange laser is a landmark in Laser technology with its unprecedented use of micro diodes to produce a vivid 593.5nm orange beam. It is truly a magnificent rare new technology that’s a must have for laser pointer collectors.

Thats the best deal in town as far as 593.5nm (DPSS).
However, if you double 532nm with 650nm at 1:4 (Green:Red). You get a much more powerful laser. But your color is going to be more like ~600nm (not a big difference).
I’m actually building a 593.5nm DPSS that will put out about 10mW. I just need 1064/1342nm producing YVO4. Not easy to find…

I don’t think the 1064/1342nm optics are just something you can find on ebay
Good luck!
