Spyder II BX

It is here. The Wicked Lasers Spyder II BX. A high power, hand held 100% duty cycle blue laser. This isn’t a toy.
I don’t have batteries for the laser - yet! Once I do I will post a full review and plenty of photos and videos. More to come in the next few days - check back!
UPDATE: I now have a few photos online. See them here Initial Reactions
First, I was amazed at how fast this thing came. I ordered it on the 12th and it was here by the 14th. I’m not kidding. It takes Amazon.com longer to ship me things than that! Major points to Wicked Lasers for pulling that off. They know know to make customers happy.
This thing is built like a tank. It is several times larger than any other laser they sell. It is nearly twice the diameter of their other lasers and much more rugged. Did I mention that it is water proof and has a 100% duty cycle. That means that you can leave this on until the batteries die. No more taking breaks to let the laser cool off.
The looks of this device are unparalleled. It looks like it means business. When you hold it in your hand, it almost feels like a weapon. The solid metal body and the diamond-shape grip are unlike any other laser I’ve ever used. The aperature has a little flare at the end. It isn’t as drastic as a Maglight, but it makes the laser look much better than just a simple calendar. Compare that to your ebay laser!
The packaging was nice. The box it shipped in was well padded and could clearly take some abuse from shipping. Thankfully, it didn’t take too much. It is a solid box with a cloth-like finish. The inside is a dense foam covered with a felt-like finish. Also included is a book showing you how to use the laser, safety information and other useful tips. I think they have just about every aspect of this covered. Leave it sitting on your desk and be the envy of any other laser enthusiast.
